As Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division at the U.S. Department of Justice from 2009-13, Lanny Breuer was a widely recognized leader on federal law enforcement priorities, including the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, money laundering, financial fraud, cybercrime and public corruption. He served as Special Counsel to President William Jefferson Clinton from 1997-99. He returned to Covington & Burling LLP in 2013 where he now serves as Vice Chairman.
