The United States has run an annual trade deficit every year since 1976 and it is now the largest in the world. In 2012, more than 60 percent of this country’s $540 billion deficit was with China alone. This seminar series will address the effect that trade deficits have on economic recovery and growth, as well as potential solutions to reverse negative trends in international commerce.
