American University Washington College of Law, 6th Floor Various Rooms

This annual event convokes academia and the Latino legal community of Washington, Maryland, and Virginia, bringing together a unique combination of institutions and personalities devoted to the progress of Latinos in the U.S. and the region. This year’s conference will include a panel on the role of attorneys in election campaigns and will feature a debate between two congressmen as they argue and defend the Democrat and Republican positions on the major issues of this election cycle. The conference is held each spring and is the most important event for the WCL Latino community. The day’s events will conclude with an awards dinner honoring distinguished J.D. and LL.M. students and alumni, as well as local high school student scholarship recipients.

Co-sponsored by The Hispanic National Bar Association, The Hispanic Bar Associations of the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia, The Latino/a Alumni Association of the Washington College of Law, and WCL’s Latino/a Law Students’ Association
