Roots and Reality II is a progressive exploration of the cross-section of hip-hop music and the law. The panels will provide insightful commentary on Hip Hop music?s influence in shaping the entertainment law landscape. The symposium will house several panels that focus on legal issues impacting Hip Hop and music as a whole. Panelist will discuss: The process of Licensing and Copyrights in Hip Hop Music, the different strategies record labels are employing to respond to the internet and the digitalization of music, and Hip Hop?s influence on politics and the overall cultural landscape
