The Competition will provide participants the unique opportunity to compete in front of some of the most accomplished attorneys and judges from the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. The Competition emphasizes the creative use of technology in the courtroom. The 2011 problem is a criminal case charging the defendant with possession with intent to distribute marijuana. All teams will compete in two rounds on Saturday, with semi-final and final rounds on Sunday. A Best Advocate award will be given to the best prosecution and defense advocates in the preliminary rounds and for the high scoring advocate in the final round. The final teams will receive trophies and the winning advocates will have their names and the name of their school permanently engraved on a trophy to remain on display at WCL.
