3:00 pm - 9:00 pm

American University Washington College of Law provides through its annual Hispanic Law Conference a forum for the promotion of issues that affect the Latino community, both nationally and internationally. This annual conference brings together a unique mix of institutions and personalities devoted to the progress of Latinos/as in the U.S. and in the region. This year's conference will begin with a Mentoring Program, conducted by members of the American University Community and the Hispanic College Fund, for junior college students and high school students interested in career planning, followed by a Career Forum for law students. The highlight of the conference will be a debate between political parties' Latino representatives, who will answer questions submitted by WCL students as well as students of other universities in the U.S. and in Latin America. The conference will conclude with an Awards Dinner honoring the recipient of the Diversity Award, as well as the recipients of the Ed Bou WCL Latino/a Alumni Award and the LaLSA Scholarship for Latino/a High School Students.
