Second Annual Meeting on Human Rights Law

The 2007 Second Annual Meeting on Human Rights Law will continue the cycle of yearly meetings devoted to the discussion of issues that are at the core of the development and sustainability of the Inter-American Human Rights System, as well as the understanding of key issues relevant to human rights in the Americas. This event will convene policy makers and representatives from academia, NGO's, States and international organizations in an open academic environment to address the aspects that are crucial for the future of this regional system. The purpose of the Annual Meeting is to open a venue, through several open panels, where representatives of different sectors can gather to debate the current practices of the regional system and define the human rights and development agenda to ensure effectiveness of this and other human rights systems in the future.
