This student collaborative draws upon domestic and international resistance to oppression by examining how people have survived through culture and memory, and how their cultural resistance has acted to change society and the law.

The conference will focus on Indigenous resistance by examining Aboriginal and American Indian cultural resistance. International focus will be on Falun Gong in China, resistance dance and music in Palestine, the African Diaspora in the Caribbean, and South Asian Resistance movements.
