There are no notices at this time.
This course will introduce the student to the basics of a transactional law practice by focusing on a series of related commercial transactions. The students will learn to draft and negotiate contracts to a successful outcome. The course will be conducted by a combination of class discussion and lecture, student drafting, and student negotiations, both in team and individual settings. Class participation is an important element of the course.
Classroom discussion will allow students to use and further develop the knowledge they have acquired in law school and apply this knowledge to actual situations they are likely to encounter in private practice. This course focuses on how to consensually reach agreement in a non-adversarial setting. Students will engage in the types of problem solving which actual practitioners use in their daily practices.
