Description

This class is a deep dive into the key concepts of separation of powers and federalism that underlie our system of government. Focusing in on the federal judiciary and its role in our constitutional scheme will give us an opportunity to examine the sometimes ingenious, and often vexing, interplay between Congress, the executive, and the judiciary envisioned by the Framers. We will also examine the allocation of power between state and federal judicial systems to decide issues of state and federal law.
