Description

Animal law and wildlife law are unique in that they focus on how the law applies to living beings other than humans. Animal welfare, pet trusts, veterinary malpractice, endangered species, divorce pet custody disputes, the animal cruelty/violence against humans link, and animal legal standing are but a few of the issues that will be discussed as we examine legal issues from constitutional law to torts to contracts to wills and trusts, and much more. This is not a course in animal rights, but rather an in-depth survey of a burgeoning and dynamic field of law, of which animal rights are but a part.
