Description
This seminar examines how citizenship status affects the rights - political, social, human, and economic - of individuals in the United States. The concept of citizenship as creating inclusivity has another, maybe inherent and perhaps intentional or nonintentional, consequence: excluding noncitizens from particular benefits of membership. This course explores the latter, namely the extent to which citizenship status can and does limit rights.
