Description

This course is designed to give students a broad overview of ERISA, the Employee Benefit Income Security Act of 1974, as amended, as well as the tools to navigate the statute in search of specific topics. The course also addresses issues of legal/financial literacy. ERISA intersects with tax law, labor law, trust law, corporate law, health law, labor and employment law, securities law, elder law, family law, etc. Former students have found their specialties in this area in government, private practice (large and boutique firms), labor unions, trade associations, etc.
