Description

This course covers the basic principles and rules that govern lawyer conduct. As such, it satisfies the ABA professional responsibility requirement. But its goals may also include sensitizing students to the variety of practice settings in which lawyers work and the different pressures these practice settings generate; giving students tools to resolve the legal and ethical issues that lawyers confront every day in practice; and helping to prepare students to navigate the enormous legal, cultural, and economic forces that are reshaping the legal profession. While virtually all other law school courses focus primarily on issues of concern to clients, this course addresses issues of primary concern to students themselves as law practitioners and future professional leaders.
