Description

This course will delve into the regulatory, legal and business issues surrounding health care business transactions. Particular emphasis will be placed on fraud and abuse prohibitions and their impact on structuring and negotiating contracts and joint venture transactions. This course will also examine the nuts and bolts of health care merger and acquisition transactions. The goal of this course is to provide students with practical knowledge and an opportunity to participate in drafting and issue spotting exercises. The teaching strategies for this course include readings, lectures, group discussions and mock client exercises.
