Description

Focuses on the realities of the U.S. Patent Office and the specific issues relating to the preparing, prosecuting, and securing of a U.S. patent. The course is based on case law from the U.S. Supreme Court, Federal Circuit, Court of Customs and Patent Appeals, and Patent Office Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences. To prosecute patents properly and represent inventors before the U.S. Patent Office, knowledge of the above court decisions and how those decisions relate to each other in terms of similarities and inconsistencies is imperative.
