Description
This course is designed to prepare students to practice trademark law in the U.S. We will cover all of the topics that a practitioner will encounter including non-traditional marks, distinctiveness, priority, registration, infringement, dilution, defenses, remedies, domain names, and right of publicity. Students will become familiar with the Lanham Act and be exposed to current issues in the law. Students will ultimately be able to critically evaluate trademark protection strategies and trademark policy.
