Description

This course explores the application of the 4th and 5th amendments in criminal investigations and prosecutions. This area of law is perhaps the most documented area of law in pop culture and one that could easily affect your life as you do something as simple as walk down the street. The course seeks to familiarize students with the interaction between the government’s interest in enforcing criminal laws with an individual’s liberty and, hopefully, enable students to see just how accurate all of those pop-culture shows and songs are. (Hint: Jay-Z’s “99 Problems” is pretty accurate).
