Textbooks and Other Materials

The textbook information on this page was provided by the instructor. Students should use this information when considering purchases from the AU Campus Store or other vendors. Students may check to determine if books are currently available for purchase online.

• Your casebook for this course is a specially designed publication for this course that melds several books you would otherwise have to buy separately. It costs XXX. The purchase also gives you access to a study aide called Quiz Connect, which will help you study for the multiple choice section of the final. I know this cost is high, but it is far less than buying these several books separately or the entire casebook by itself.

THE BOOKSTORE HAS ORDERED COPIES OF THE BOOK AND I ENCOURAGE YOU TO BUY IT AS SOON AS IT ARRIVES. Here are the specifics:

  • Custom Edition, Constitutional Law (7th Custom Edition), curated by Susan Carle, Wolters Kluwer (2021); ISBN ***
  • An excellent optional supplemental treatise that you can consult in the library is:
  • Erwin Chemerinsky, Constitutional Law: Principles and Policies (Aspen Student Treatise), 6th Edition, 2015. ISBN 978-1454849479. Copies are on reserve in the Law Library Reserve Room, under call number KF4550.C427 2015.

You can also rent this second optional treatise for the semester for $25 on Amazon, or go in with other students and share a semester rental. I do not advise you to buy it as it is expensive and you will only consult it from time to time in order to clarify the materials we read in class or answer additional questions you may have about con law topics.
