Description

The law governing the proof of disputed issues of fact, functions of the court and jury, competence and examination of witnesses, standards of relevancy, privileged communications, illegal evidence, hearsay rule, best evidence rule, parol evidence rule, presumptions, and judicial notice.

The required textbook for the course is- EVIDENCE UNDER THE RULES, TEXT, CASES AND PROBLEMS, Mueller, Kirkpatrick & Richter (MKR), 9th Ed. (Wolters Kluwer 2019) Note: The reading assignments for the Federal Rules of Evidence include the Advisory Committee Notes and Legislative History of the Federal Rules of Evidence. Please obtain a copy of the FRE (available free online).
