This course will meet in person on THURSDAY, AUGUST 22 from 6:00pm - 7:50pm in NT02. All subsequent class meeting will be online.

Description

The rise in use of social media and its respective technology has impacted the law in several areas. The course will analyze legal precedent as well as review current statutes, particularly how social media is creating new challenges that these statutes never comprehended upon their enactment many years ago. Students will gain an understanding of how to apply legal theories to social media and how social media impacts their professional and ethical practice.
