Description

"In this class you will learn the Federal Rules of Evidence (FRE) and understand how to apply the FRE in practice. The class will be taught using a combination of lecture, demonstrations, and in-class exercises. You are required to participate during class, and you will be called on to answer questions and discuss assigned in-class exercises. This class is run by a present and prepared format. The class will focus on learning the FRE by reviewing evidence cases as well as applying the rules to short fact patterns that will be discussed during class throughout the semester. Your final grade will be based on your class participation and your performance on the final exam. The final exam will be a closed book, multiple choice test. You will have access to the FRE during your final exam. Assessment: Closed book, multiple choice exam. The professor will provide a copy of the Federal Rules of Evidence during the exam. Class participation during class discussions and in-class exercises."
