Description
This seminar will examine four broad areas of national security law with discussions of some of the significant policy choices that they present. Those areas are (1) U.S. and international law applicable to covert action and special operations with emphasis on using drones to target terrorists overseas, including Americans. We will examine covert action with an emphasis on drone strikes; (2) classified information and its use in criminal and civil litigation; (3) foreign intelligence surveillance; and (4) espionage.
