Description

Each year, the World Bank Group, in collaboration with the Global Forum on Law, Justice and Development (GFLJD), hosts a week devoted to Law, Justice and Development (LJD). This year’s event will take place at the World Bank’s headquarters in Washington DC from November 16-19, 2015. The event will attract lawyers and others working with law and justice tools around the world to support international development efforts. A wide variety of topics will be covered, with an emphasis this year on the theme of governance and the law, with one day devoted to the Middle East and North Africa region, and another devoted to International Financial Institutions and the World Bank Group. For more information, see http://www.worldbank.org/ljdweek2015, with particular attention to the Concept Note. This year Matthew Glasser, organizer of last year’s LJDW, is offering 2L, 3L, and LLM students an opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at preparations for this year's event, equipping students to get maximum benefit when they participate in this year’s LJDW at the end of the course.
