Notices

This class is a supplement to LAW-754-005 for those students who have not taken Wrongful Convictions or who need an additional investigation credit. If you are considering enrolling in this class, please contact the professor, Eily Raman, at ERaman@exonerate.org, before the start of the semester.

Description

Students enrolled in this class will investigate the cases of actual prisoners who have contacted the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project claiming to be innocent of the crimes for which they are in prison. Such investigation may involve reading trial transcripts and appellate briefs; meeting with the prisoner; visiting courthouses to review documents; and locating and interviewing witnesses. It is expected that you will devote approximately 10 hours per week to this class. Please do not enroll if you are not prepared to make this commitment.
