Description

A basic overview of international and U.S. domestic systems of regulating the export and import of goods. Topics include critiques of trade theory, the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), trade relations with developing countries, U.S. trade agreements and current trade policy, responses to fair and unfair trade practices, political restrictions on trade (e.g., economic sanctions), and national security controls on the export of high technology.
