Evidentiary Foundations & Objections (LAW-968-001)
Sunday seminar on July 9th from 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Evidence and either Criminal or Civil Trial Advocacy are prerequisites. Preparation for and presentation of in-class trial simulations. Self-assessment through video review. Final exam comprised of an oral motion to exclude evidence and a written case outline.
A practical course designed to enrich students’ understanding of the Federal Rules of Evidence and their application in a trial setting. Through a series of exercises, which simulate pretrial motions and witness examinations, students develop the skills to advocate for or against the admissibility of evidence at trial.
