Description

Includes an overview of the legal and law-related research sources available in print, online databases, cd-rom, and the internet. Students explore and develop cost-effective research skills and advanced research strategies. The course is designed to introduce upper level law students to sources and methods of legal research that lie beyond those covered in first year legal rhetoric. Students’ work will focus on effective uses of computer assisted legal research tools and techniques that mirror legal practice. The course is tied to several substantive legal topics such as immigration, international, and employment law.
