Description

This course covers sales of goods under U.S. law, primarily under Article 2 of the Uniform Commercial Code. It is an upper level course in Contracts that treats a number of the issues in the basic course as well as more advanced issues, but with all of these the course focuses on the use of a well-established statute as the primary source of law. Although case law remains important and is addressed in the course, this class emphasizes statutory construction and problem solving in both transactional and litigation settings. If time permits, leases of goods and international transactions may be treated briefly.
