Description

Agencies across the federal government design and annually award staggering sums in grants to support countless programs, from healthcare to education policy to energy sustainability to workforce housing solutions. Universities, research facilities, and industry respond to grants in the hopes of winning awards, then must be in compliance with the strict mandates, with often harsh penalties in missteps. This course provides a foundation of the federal practice in grant law, preparing students with the essential topics to direct career paths in federal and state agencies, law firms, and in-house counsel positions in industry and at universities. The course mixes black letter law and important cases with practical assignments to help students develop pragmatic skills in project performance, dispute resolution, and litigation.
