Description

This seminar is designed to provide advanced students and practitioners with essential skills to cross-examine witnesses. Participants will improve their skills under the rigorous scrutiny of arbitration practitioners. Members of the faculty will conduct training on cross-examination skills. Each participant will take turns acting on behalf of the claimant and the respondent. The panel members will analyze each performance and make suggestions for improvement at the end of the hearing. Prerequisites for WCL credit students: Semester courses: 1) International Commercial Arbitration (LAW- 982-001): Grigera Naón - Frutos Peterson 2) Practical Aspects of International Dispute Resolution (LAW-795AD-001) Sobota - Kotuby Having taken or being enrolled in the following summer courses: Arbitraje Comercial Internacional (Grigera Naón & Frutos Peterson) LAW-789-002 Introduction to the Practice of International Commercial Arbitration (Sasson & Shore) LAW 780S-001 Introduction to the Practice of International Commercial Arbitration which will take place May 29 - June 1 (Tuesday to Friday) 2:00pm-5:10pm.
