Description

This course is an introduction to doing deals. Students will learn how to document business deals and will get experience drafting transactional documents. The course will cover law, language, strategy, drafting skills, and in some sections may include negotiation. The goal of the course is to prepare students to be effective transactional lawyers in a business setting.

Materials: The main text is “Make the Deal” by Christopher S. Harrison. It is the only book you will need to purchase (available at the WCL Bookstore and on Amazon). All other materials will be posted to the Course Portal or may be accessed from WCL’s data base page.
