Description
The course introduces students to U.S. sanctions and export controls, and also opportunities to develop practical skills in the practice of law through written work products and exercises involving sanctions and export controls. A guiding principle of the course will be to reinforce students' academic learning with real-life applications of that learning. For example, students will produce client memoranda, license applications, voluntary self-disclosures, and other common work-products produced by practitioners in these areas of law.
