Description

This course will examine health care mergers and acquisitions, and will dissect a transaction from start to finish. Course emphasis will be placed on the unique challenges faced in doing deals in the health care industry. Students will apply principles to sample transaction documents. Recent health care industry transactions will be used as a teaching tool to further explore these issues. Reading and class lectures will be supplemented with contract review, mock client hypotheticals and issue-spotting exercises. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in a mock negotiation exercise.
