Health Care Compliance and Governance (LAW-718-001)
This class meets "live" via zoom on Saturday 9/26 (11-1:15 ET) and 10/17 (11-4:00 ET). Students are expected to attend all live classes in full. This class also has an asynchronous component that students are required to complete (as set forth in more detail in the canvas course plan)
This course examines corporate compliance and governance for health care organizations. Students will apply key compliance guidance and principles, including the seven elements of an effective compliance program, to case studies from the health care and pharmaceutical industries. With regards to corporate governance, the course will provide an overview of fiduciary duties and the specific challenges faced in the health care industry.
