America is experiencing multiple crises threatening our commitment to the rule of law and to other fundamental values. This includes our reaction to terrorist threats, racial and other aspects of social justice including affirmative action and voting rights, our troubled electoral system, and constitutional structure. The seminar will discuss these and other issues. A paper is required and class participation is considered in grading. Enrollment is limited to 14. Students who were in Advanced Constitutional Law: Problems in the Democratic Process are not eligible.
