Description

This class explores the basic law surrounding the disposition of property at death. This course is designed to provide a broad general foundation, as well as to prepare students for further work in estate planning and will and trust drafting. By the end of the course, students should have a solid understanding of intestate and testate succession and of the law trusts and other probate-substitutes in estate planning, the rules regarding the establishment and administration of private and charitable trusts, tax implications of death and gifts, and a basic familiarity with probate.

Textbooks and Other Materials

The textbook information on this page was provided by the instructor. Students should use this information when considering purchases from the AU Campus Store or other vendors. Students may check to determine if books are currently available for purchase online.
