Description

This section of Critical Race Theory explores the ways in which law may perpetuate group subordination and how law can be used to ameliorate it. Students will be introduced to classic and impactful critical race scholars and scholarship. CRT will be placed within the traditional rubrics of statutory interpretation (text, intent, purpose, modern dynamics). There will be a strong emphasis on economic justice. While ordinarily placed in opposition, students will be shown how Critical Race Theory is perfectly compatible with Law & Economics.
