Description
This course is an introduction to gender and international and comparative law. Students examine a medley of important questions that arise when considering the role of gender within international and comparative law, exploring the intersections between gender and topics including religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity and the nation-state, reproductive freedom, political participation, conflict and development. Students develop research papers that address international or comparative law approaches to protecting and promoting women's rights or the rights of sexual minorities.
