Description

This course will cover equitable and legal remedies in contract, tort, property law, and constitutional law cases (in both state and federal court). The first half of the course will cover equitable remedies, including injunctions (and contempt-of-court sanctions for violations of injunctions), specific performance of contracts, and restitution. The second half of the course will cover legal remedies, including compensatory damages, punitive damages, and attorneys’ fees. A major them in this course will be constitutional limitations on remedies.
