Description

This course will survey the common law, state statutory and federal rules of evidence. The rules, principles behind the rules, and cases interpreting them shall be examined.

Required background reading: Park and Friedman, Ch. 1, Making the Record, pages 1-77. Study Federal Rules of Evidence pamphlet (FRE), Rules 101-106 and 1101 and Advisory Notes. Carefully read Chapter 2A-B, pages 79-88 and FRE 401-403 and Advisory Notes.
