First Class Readings

NOTE: Unless otherwise specified in class, you are free to disregard all paragraphs in the casebook that are denoted by the casebook editors as “Problems.”

NOTE: The Bankruptcy Code is complex and difficult to read. With that consideration in mind, and to reduce the burden on class preparation, the sections and subsections identified below are among those portions of the Code most important to an understanding of basic bankruptcy. However, there will be a need from time to time to augment these reading assignments with in-class review of other Code sections and subsections. Students will therefore be expected to have a copy of the Code available to them in every class.
