Description
This course is an overview of the various methods society has created to resolve civil disputes. Often, adversaries determine a preference to utilize methods of Alternative Dispute to resolve their conflicts. In this course, participants will learn the different opportunities for dispute resolution to enable them to be creative and effective in solving legal problems. The course is conducted utilizing text books and conducting mock mediations and arbitrations. This course is completed over the spring semester and requires students to complete substantial preparation outside of class. Students will receive feedback on all in-class performances. There will be a final written exam.
