LLM Only. Meets on Mondays (Room Y403) and Fridays (Room Y402) for the first 4 weeks of the semester with Prof. Schenker. Starting in week 5, class meets on Mondays with Prof. Schenker. In addition, students are assigned to small sections that meet once per week starting in week 2.

Description

Legal Research and Writing is required for non-common law trained LLM students. The course is designed for non-native speakers of English and reviews basic writing style as well as American legal research and analysis. Students are required to hand in drafts of all assignments before handing in final copies. At the conclusion of the course, students should be able to conduct legal research, read and brief cases, and write well-reasoned legal memoranda.
