Textbooks and Other Materials

The textbook information on this page was provided by the instructor. Students should use this information when considering purchases from the AU Campus Store or other vendors. Students may check to determine if books are currently available for purchase online.

Lisa Lerman and Philip Schrag, Ethical Problems in the Practice of Law (Aspen Publ. 3d ed. 2012) [“Casebook”]; and Stephen Gillers, Roy Simon, Andrew Perlman, and John Steele, Regulation of Lawyers: Statutes and Standards Concise Edition 2016 [“Model Rules”]. Please note: It is essential that students use the identified editions of the Casebook and Model Rules, as there have been significant rules changes that are not reflected in prior editions of either. With regard to the Model Rules, however, students may use the 2014 or 2015 editions, as there have been no rule changes since those editions. Used copies of the Casebook may be available, as this edition has been used the last several times the course was taught. With regard to the Casebook, students may use the “SMARTe Edition.”
