Bar Certification Request

Please submit the form below in order to have the Office of the Registrar complete any bar related forms or letters. Due to the volume of requests, bar forms are processed weekly.

Forms submitted by 12pm on Wednesday will be sent out that Friday. Forms submitted after 12pm on Wednesday will be sent out the following week.

It is the responsibility of each applicant to upload the necessary documents needed to process any certifications related to the bar application.

Law school certificates and any accompanying documents that the Office of the Registrar must provide are sent directly to the bar unless otherwise indicated on the certificate. A confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided when the bar form(s)/letter(s) are sent to the respective bar(s).

            Transcript Policy - As a student/graduate of American University Washington College of Law, I acknowledge that I am responsible for providing a copy of my transcript for the bar application, unless my bar form or the state board of law examiners explicitly requests an official copy of my final law school transcript should accompany the law school certification form completed by the law school.
