Statement of Best Practices in Fair Use of Dance-Related Materials

The Dance Heritage Coalition (DHC) has been working with Professor Peter Jaszi for two years toward creating a fair use statement on behalf of our dance librarians, curators, and archivists.

On Friday, May 8, at 2 p.m. at a Media Event with light refreshments at the Washington College of Law, we’ll be celebrating the completion of this project and the publication of the “Statement of Best Practices in Fair Use of Dance-Related Materials.”

In addition to our board of directors, there will be special guests from the endorsing organizations, the artistic community, dance faculty, and members of AU’s Center for Social Media among others. There will be a brief presentation, remarks, and AV demonstration followed by a lively Q&A and discussion.
