Peter Jaszi to join Copyright Register on Panel at International Book Summit
Prof. Peter Jaszi will speak on a panel on “Copyright and the Book: A Conversation about Authors, Publishers, and the Public Interest,” on December 7 at the 2012 International Summit of the Book at the Library of Congress. The panel will be moderated by Maria A. Pallante, Register of Copyrights and Director of the U.S. Copyright Office, and will feature Tom Allen of the Association of American Publishers and James S. Shapiro of Columbia University and the Authors Guild in addition to Professor Jaszi. The summit is a two-day event sponsored by the Library of Congress to discuss and promote the book as a crucial format for conveying scholarship and culture worldwide.
