Congratulations to PIJIP Professor Peter Jaszi for Winning the Champion of Intellectual Property Award
I am pleased to share with our community that Professor Peter Jaszi has been selected as the 2009 recipient of the Champion of Intellectual Property Award (the ChIP Award) by the Intellectual Property Law Section of the DC Bar.
The ChIP Award is given annually by the Intellectual Property Law Section of the DC Bar to “a person who has served the intellectual property community with distinction, whose efforts have had an impact on intellectual property policy, who has encouraged innovation and the protection of intellectual property rights, and who continues to inspire and advocate for the intellectual property community.” Last year, the Section presented the award to the former Chairman of the U.S. International Trade Commission, Daniel R. Pearson.
This year, the Intellectual Property Law Section will present the award to Professor Jaszi at the Annual Spring Reception held on Tuesday, April 7, 2009, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the historic Dolley Madison House. Judge Randall R. Rader of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit will provide Welcoming Remarks.
Please join me in congratulation our colleague Peter Jaszi for this important and well deserved recognition. We are all proud to have him in our community.
