Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). The Law Society is guided by the philosophy, personal example, and values of its namesake, J. Reuben Clark. These values include: (1) public service;
(2) loyalty to the rule of law; and (3) appreciation for the religious dimension in society and in a lawyer's life.

About J. Reuben ClarkJ. Reuben Clark (1871-1961) was a member of the LDS Church and had a varied career in the law. He graduated from Columbia University Law School in 1906 where he was a member
of the editorial board of the Columbia Law Review. During his career, he served as a law professor at George Washington University, solicitor for the U.S. State Department, private
